Top Ten Punk Pop Albums - Download Pressure

May 16th, 2008

Punk begun in the 1974 as an irksome, guerilla uprising against common current of music charted by the number or sales. Bands like Sex Pistols, Iggy Pop, and Rancid helped bring punk back in the mid-1990's. This time the weave of rapid, simple rock music with sweet-sounding pop melodies cooled heels on radio and MTV. These days, so-called punk pop is a key part in the sphere of chart music. These 10 music tracks are the best starting points to get to know punk pop.

1. blink-182 - Enema of the State

In blink-182's endless attempt to offend any adults in the locality, this record album shed light upon a girl clothed as an enema nurse on the cover. The punk pop inside is teenage and catchy including the monumental hit song “Dysentery Gary.”

2. The Donnas - Spend the Night

Girls can perform punk, as well, and this record album is an abundant evidence of the fact. The group styled themselves after the Ramones with each performer going by the name Donna. Download Paramore to listen to it.

3. Good Charlotte - Young and the Hopeless

A band from Waldorf Good Charlotte with Paul Thomas blasted into the top ten of the popular music album chart with this set. It's full with history of college and problem fathers. The big hit track is “Lifestyles Of the Rich and Famous.”

4. Green Day - American Idiot

After fading from their 90's peak of popularity, Green Day retreated from live performances to put together punk's first rock opera. Although the popular punk band was nervous about their fan's reaction to Dearly Beloved, it turned out to be an American punk rock classic climbing several charts and gaining a Grammy award for Best Punk Album of 2004.

5. The Lemonheads - Ceiling Fan in My Spoon

The Lemonheads' lead singer Evan Dando is the one and only punk performer to be known as a real teenager dream-boy. Along the way the rock band recorded some outstanding music, too, featuring “Ceiling Fan in My Spoon”, “Download Pressure” and “Mrs. Robinson”.

6. The Offspring - Not the One

Offspring a rock band were one of the devoted punk renascence bands from the nineties. Rather often their music bordered on hard rock and metal with guitar-and-drums-centered sound, but their most popular music is true punk. “Come Out and Play” and “Genocide” are far beyond what is customary on this CD.

7. Rancid - The 11th Hour

Rancid sounds a lot like such late 70's classic punk bands as the Clash. They also use the of pop punk in much of their studio albums.

8. Simple Plan - Still Not Getting Any…

This French Canadian group emerged in the limelight in October with their album No Pads, No Helmets…Just Balls. This second album is much better and contains the hit song “I'm Just a Kid.”

9. Sum 41 - In Too Deep

The single “Handle This” encouraged to catapult this album into the top 20. Sum 41 inject intelligent humor into much of their music. Download Paramore to get a feeling of what we are saying about.

10. Weezer - Weezer (Blue Album)

Despite the fact that they are venerated as grandfathers of the “emo” genre, Weezer's records are also true punk pop in style. “Undone - The Sweater Song” was their 1st popular song and then a video putting the band in a TV episode helped make “Buddy Holly” even bit more popular.
